Ratings were released Tuesday for the city's best and dirtiest hotels.
New York's two dirtiest hotels also were ranked among the three worst in the country, according to the Web site TripAdvisor.com.
New York also had two of the nation's top three luxury hotels. The Library Hotel and the Sofitel wered ranked Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.

When asked to comment on Tuesday, the Hotel Carter didn't address the dirty ranking, but a spokesperson said "You can't beat the price or location."
