Christie Reminds Everyone to “Get the Hell Off the Beach”

Governor first made the comment last year when Hurricane Irene threatened the East Coast

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is speaking to delegates from other states as he prepares for his keynote speech at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla.

Christie appeared before delegations from California and North Carolina on Monday after attending a rally for New Jersey's delegates on Sunday.

The threat of Tropical Storm Isaac forced officials to postpone some events.

Christie referred to his "get the hell off the beach'' quote that he made a year ago as Tropical Storm Irene headed for New Jersey.

To loud applause, the governor told the delegation he was brought to Florida on Sunday "to make sure if there's any idiots who were on the beach, tell them to get the hell off the beach.''

Christie will deliver the convention's keynote address on Tuesday night.
