A Long Island high school teacher is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with two of his students.

Jairo Inswasty, 70, of Islandia, is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to Suffolk County police.

Police say Inswasty, who teaches math at Central Islip High School, had the inappropriate relationship with two 16-year-old girls who were his students at the time.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether Inswasty had an attorney who could comment on the allegations. He will be arraigned at a later date, police said.

Officials did not elaborate on the alleged relationship, but said the investigation is ongoing.
