Several Cars Torched in JFK Parking Lot Fire: Authorities

As many as half a dozen cars were torched Saturday morning in a long-term parking lot at John F. Kennedy International Airport, officials say.

The cars caught fire at the blue lot at about 10 a.m., according to the Port Authority Police.

The FDNY responded and the blaze was extinguished within about 10:30 a.m., authorities say.

Images of the fire that were posted to social media show a huge plume of fire and smoke emitting from the cars.

It's not clear what caused the blaze.
