Bronx Vodka “Hooker” Billboard Ad Removed After Complaints

The "Wodka'' ad over the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx that read: "Escort Quality, Hooker Pricing" was taken down Wednesday.

A vodka ad billboard in New York City that contains references to escorts and hookers was removed after some community members said they found it offensive.

The "Wodka'' ad over the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx that read: "Escort Quality, Hooker Pricing" was taken down Wednesday.

It was an attempt to convey the vodka as top quality but inexpensive.

Community Board 2 in the Bronx had said the ad was inappropriate.

A lawyer for the owners of the billboard, Van Wagner, said it reached out to the advertiser to see whether it could remedy the situation and the advertiser responded almost immediately.

Van Wagner said the vodka company acted like a good corporate citizen, responsive to the needs and concerns of the community.
