Shooter Opens Fire on Group on Bronx Street Corner: Police

Police are looking for the shooter they say opened fire on a group of people standing near a Bronx street corner Sunday afternoon, injuring three men.

The men were standing on the sidewalk at West 165th Street and Summit Avenue in Highbridge when the suspect ran up with a handgun and started shooting, police say.

Surveillance footage from the scene shows the men scattering as the shooter runs into the middle of the street to fire more shots. The gunman then runs back in the direction he came from, the video shows.

The victims, all of whom are in their 20s, were taken to the hospital in stable condition. One was shot in the stomach, another was shot in the knee, and the third had a graze wound on his chest, authorities said.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
