Bronx Man Charged in Fatal Hit-and-Run: NYPD

A Bronx man faces a slate of charges accusing him of a hit-and-run accident on the George Washington Bridge early Saturday morning that killed a pedestrian and left another hospitalized.

Jonathan Segura, 34, was driving east on the bridge at about 4 a.m. when he struck two people and lost control of his 2009 BMW, which then collided into a pickup truck, investigators said.

Segura fled the scene but returned a short time later, police said.

A 46-year-old man, whose identity wasn't disclosed by police, was taken to Lincoln Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. A 46-year-old woman was taken to the same hospital for treatment of multiple injures. She was said to be in stable condition.

Segura was charged with DWI, vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, vehicular assault and leave the scene of an accident, police said.
