Cops Probe Suspicious Device in Bronx Home

Police are investigating a suspicious device inside a Bronx home Wednesday afternoon, apparently left behind by a disgruntled tenant, senior law enforcement officials say.

Sources say the device was found inside a home on Taylor Avenue in the Van Nest neighborhood, prompting the NYPD's bomb squad to respond and investigate.

The device -- which appeared to be a pipe --was left by a tenant in the midst of a dispute with the landlord, sources said.

There's nothing to suggest the device is nefarious, but police will get better clarity from the landlord and the still-missing tenant, who had moved across the street recently, angering the landlord, sources said.
