2 Bronx Teachers Arrested on Drug, DWI Charges

They caught the attention of police when one of them was vomiting on the side of the road, according to a report

Two New York City school teachers were arrested in the Bronx Friday night on drug, DWI and weapons charges, police said.

Diana Mancusco, 29, and Karen Aguilar, 26, were arrested in front of 347 East Fordham Road at about 8:10 p.m. Friday, police said.

The New York Post reported the two women drew the attention of police officers on patrol when Mancusco was seen sticking her fingers down her throat and vomiting.

Mancusco apparently said she was too intoxicated to drive, so Aguilar volunteered to drive -- but she, too, was impaired, the Post reported, citing police sources.

A small amount of cocaine and a dagger were also found in the car.

The Department of Education confirmed the two are employed at the Entrada Academy in the Bronx, but did not offer further comment Saturday.

The Post said it could not reach the women for comment Saturday.
