Authorities are looking for a man who allegedly bashed a 49-year-old man in the head with a brick after an argument in a Queens grocery store in January.
Police say the two started arguing in a store on 61st Street in Long Island City shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25. It's not clear what sparked the dispute but the confrontation quickly turned physical, authorities say.
At some point, the suspect bashed the 49-year-old with the brick. It wasn't clear where the brick came from. The suspect ran off and the victim was taken to a hospital, where he needed stitches to close the gash in his head.
Authorities released a surveillance image of the suspect (above). Anyone with information about him is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
