Boy, 14, Arrested in Rock-Throwing That Damaged Cars on L.I.E.

Police say a 14-year-old boy has been arrested for throwing rocks at vehicles on the Long Island Expressway and damaging the windshields of at least two cars.

Nassau County Police say the boy, accompanied by two others, threw the rocks from a train trestle over the expressway in Roslyn Heights. No injuries were reported from the incidents, which happened around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The boy, who's from Roslyn Heights, is charged with four counts of reckless endangerment and two counts of criminal mischief. He is due in family court on April 19. He was not identified.
