A Border Collie missing for days was rescued after being stuck in a drain at a golf course.
James Brown the dog, or affectionately known as JB, disappeared from the Willow Creek Golf and Country Club in Mount Sinai, where he lives, on July 10.
On July 15, a golfer heard a dog whimpering from a drain cover and alerted workers on the golf course. The workers then contacted the Suffolk County SPCA and police.
JB, known for being a large canine, had to be dug out of the drain with a track hoe, and was taken to a clinic.
He was in good health, according to the SPCA.
