Estranged Husband Kills 2 Adults, Baby, Self in Bayonne Rampage: Prosecutor

Residents in a quiet New Jersey neighborhood are trying to figure out what triggered a murder-suicide that left four people dead, including a baby.

The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office says 28-year-old Adepso Collado apparently shot his estranged wife, 26-year-old Kenia Collado, in her Bayonne home Monday.

Jose Guzman, 31, and his 14-month-old son also were killed.

Dr. Jihad Moukdad, who worked with Collado at a local hospital, told NBC New York that Guzman was Collado's boyfriend.

The estranged wife's roommate was wounded and two other children in the home escaped unharmed.

Authorities say Adepso Collado then turned a semiautomatic handgun on himself. He was found dead downstairs and the victims were upstairs.

Witnesses said more than 15 shots were fired and that police believe a gun found at the house was used in the killings.

A next-door neighbor told NBC New York his brother heard fighting coming from the home before the shots were fired.

The brother "saw some suspicious activity through the glass door, he heard some loud voices," said the neighbor, who did not wanted to be named. "He goes back in the house to report a domestic dispute and as he's calling it in, he hears some gunshots."

Smith would only say at the scene there was "some type of dispute in the home," and that it "progressed from there."
