Black Car Passenger Yelled Anti-Muslim Slurs, Attacked Man: NYPD

A man riding in a black car yelled anti-Muslim slurs at a man and his mother, then attacked the man when he was confronted about the epithets, according to the NYPD.

The victim, 25, told police that he was with his mother on Creston Avenue in the Bronx's Fordham Manor neighborhood on Sept. 15 when the passenger of the car, which had plates for the city Taxi and Limousine Commission, yelled slurs at him.

Police said that when the man went to confront the passenger, the car's driver and the passenger both punched him in the face.

After the attack, the two men and a woman who was also in the car took off.

Anyone with information about the trio should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
