Amber Alert in Upstate NY Canceled After 4 Children Found Safe

An Amber Alert for four children has been canceled after police say they were abducted by a couple who had lost custody of the two boys and two girls.

The alert for 5-year-old Gabriella Torres, 4-year-old Jacob Esquilin, 2-year-old Jionni Torres and 6-month-old Assata Mari Franklin was canceled at about 10 a.m. Thursday, less than a day after police say they were abducted by Alfred Franklin Jr., 30, and Tina Esquilin, 27.

Police say that the children were taken from a home on Dom Drive in Monticello Wednesday evening after Tina Esquilin and Alfred Franklin Jr. received a court order removing the four children from their custody due to neglect and suspected drug activity.

A source tells NBC News that the children were found safe in Monticello and that the two suspects are in police custody.
