Beloved Dog Stolen From Car on Valentine's Day

A man says his beloved dog was stolen from his car on Valentine's Day, leaving him heartbroken and offering a reward for the safe return of the pooch.

The dog, a Shih Tzu-Yorkie mix named Oliver, was in a car parked on Central Park Avenue in Scarsdale at about 8:30 p.m. on Valentine's, said owner Steve Carino.

Carino ran into a store for a few minutes and the dog was gone when he came back, he said.

"Oliver means the world to me and my family," Carino told News 4 New York. "He is such a loving, sweet dog, that needs to be with me as I need to be with him.  Short story, we need each other."

Carino said he is offering a $2,500 reward for the return of the dog.
