A Wooly Mammouth of Your Very Own

Dino bones could sell for a half-million dollars

A Manhattan auction is offering the opportunity for someone to fork over some big bucks for some very old bones.

The skeletons of a small dinosaur, a wooly mammoth and a 20-foot-long marine lizard are among the fossils that will be up for auction tomorrow at the I.M. Chait Gallery-Auctioneers.

The gallery said the skeleton of a Dryosaurus, one of only two of its kind in the world and the only one not on display at a museum, is part of the auciton.

The dino bones could go for as much as a half million dollars, while the mammoth skeleton could sell for up to $100,000.
