Queens Dispute Leaves 1 Shot Dead, 1 Stabbed

A late-night dispute ended in violence when a 50-year-old stabbed a younger man and the younger man shot and killed him, police said.

Police were called to the scene near the Woodside Houses in Queens shortly after 11 p.m. on Friday. The men were brought to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where Jose Feliciano, the older man was declared dead and James Sloane, who is 30, was admitted in stable condition, police said.

Sloane was later charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with evidence.

Information on a lawyer for Sloane was not immediately available.
