Two women tried to rob another as she was walking through Morningside Park Wednesday evening, grabbing her hair and dragging her to the ground as they tried to snatch her purse, police say.
The 24-year-old victim was walking through the park in the area of West 116th Street and Morningside Driver when the suspects approached her from behind, according to police.
One tried to grab the victim's purse from her shoulder while the other grabbed the victim by her hair and dragged her to the ground, police say.
The woman resisted, and the suspects ran away when another person walked by.
