A woman who kept dozens of cats in her feces-filled million-dollar home has reached a deal with health agencies to have more than 70 of the felines removed.
In a letter to officials in Chester Township in central New Jersey, Wanda Oughton says she'll let animal control officers remove the cats from her 12-room house.
The Star-Ledger of Newark reports Oughton also volunteered to pay for care for the animals. A shelter is being set up in nearby Mendham.
Oughton was charged with 186 counts of animal cruelty last month after police and SPCA officers, acting on a tip, discovered 93 cats in the house. Twenty-two cats were removed from the house that day and remain at a veterinary hospital.
Oughton has pleaded not guilty.
