Woman Struck by School Bus in Manhattan

A woman was struck by a school bus on the Upper West Side, authorities say.

Emergency responders were seen attending to the woman on West End Avenue and West 85th Street after she was hit by a mini school bus just after 4:30 p.m.

Witnesses on the scene said the woman was riding a bicycle when she was hit.

The woman appeared to be conscious as she was put into an ambulance on a stretcher. She could be heard moaning in pain.

The FDNY said she was taken to St. Luke's Hospital with a head injury. She was listed in serious but stable condition.

The driver stayed on the scene. It's not clear if charges were expected to be filed.
