A suspect is in custody in connection with the stabbing death of a 20-year-old woman on Long Island, authorities say.
Police say Jasmine Davis was stabbed multiple times by a man at the corner of Amsterdam and Brookhaven avenues in North Bellport late Tuesday. Authorities say the two had been arguing before the incident.
The woman was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital in East Patchogue, where she was pronounced dead.
Charges are pending against the suspect. He is expected to be arraigned on unspecified charges later Wednesday.
