Mom Dealt Drugs with Daughter, 10, in Car: Police

A New Jersey woman was arrested for allegedly selling drugs while her 10-year-old daughter was in a car with her.

According to police, Marylou Gonzalez, 37, of Linden, was spotted by detectives engaging in a drug deal with her daughter in the car. The officers followed her home and arrested her.

Inside her home and her car, police said they found 29 folds of heroin, a quantity of Xanax and Percocet pills, marijuana, and a digital scale. Gonzalez was charged with distribution and possession of heroin and prescription medication, possession of marijuana and narcotics paraphernalia, as well as distribution within a school and park zone.

The police Juvenile Bureau and the county’s Special Victims Unit were notified about the daughter’s presence during the drug deal.
