Subway Rider Gropes Woman, Then She Takes His Picture

Alleged incident happened on the W train leaving Queens

A man accused of groping a woman on the subway during rush hour Tuesday morning got his mug caught on camera.

The fast-thinking 33-year-old victim kept her cool after the troubling incident on the W train.  She used her cell phone cam to snap a picture of her attacker.

The 33-year-old victim boarded the W train at the Broadway Station in Queens shortly after 7:30 a.m., she told police. As the Manhattan-bound train pulled into the 39th St. station, the man groped her from behind, police said.  She quickly got off at Queensboro Plaza, taking the photo of the man as she exited the train.

The city has recently stepped-up efforts to get victims of groping on the subway to report the crime.
