A 21-year-old woman riding a skateboard died when she was hit by a mini school bus in the Bronx Wednesday morning.
Police say Genielle Laboriel was riding north on Melrose Avenue around 7:15 a.m. when she was hit by the bus, which was turning right onto 160th Street.
Witnesses told police she was wearing headphones when she was hit, authorities said.
Laboriel was pronounced dead at the hospital.
No one else was injured, and the driver remained at the scene.
