A woman inside her Staten Island apartment was shot in the leg when a gunman outside her door shot at another man and one of the bullets went through the front door and into her home, police said.
The woman told police she heard people arguing outside her second-floor apartment on Henderson Avenue and looked out her peephole to see two men in a heated exchange in the hallway, according to police.
One of the men pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at the other man, police said. One of the bullets went through the door and hit the woman in the leg.
The woman, who is in her 30s, called police and was rushed to Richmond County Hospital. She's expected to be OK.
The two men fled the scene. It's not clear if either was injured in the shooting.
