A central New Jersey woman, suspected of beating her mother-in-law to death, was arrested at a casino three days after the attack, police said Saturday.

Tasneem Diwan, 45, was arrested on a murder charge late Friday at an Atlantic City casino, Mercer County prosecutors said. Her bail was set at $1 million cash, and it wasn't known Saturday if she had retained an attorney who could comment on the charges.

Diwan also faces two weapons counts stemming from the attack that occurred Tuesday in the East Windsor home where she and 73-year-old Safia Diwan lived.

Diwan struck her mother-in-law in the head numerous times with an unknown object, prosecutors said. They haven't said what prompted the attack.

Police found the victim's body in the home when they responded to a 911 call.
