A 46-year-old woman died after being struck by a car while she was walking on Long Island early Saturday, police said.
Cheri Larrydale was walking on Broadway Avenue and crossing Veterans Memorial Highway in Holbrook when she was hit by a car at around 12:40 a.m., authorities said.
According to officials, Larrydale was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are searching for the driver who hit her and asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the Vehicular Crime Unit at 631-852-6555.
