Woman Killed in Flushing Fire

A fast-moving blaze claimed the life of one woman in Queens this morning.

Sixty firefighters responded to an apartment building in Flushing after a call came in reporting a fire on the sixth floor at about 2:25 a.m.

Firefighters managed to get the blaze under control less than an hour later and get. One person on the sixth floor went into cardiac arrest. She was rushed to the hospital, but didn't survive.

Officials haven't released the name of the female victim.

It wasn't immediately clear how the fire started.
