A 73-year-old woman had to have part of her foot amputated after a dump truck hit her while reversing on the Upper East Side Friday evening, police say.
The privately owned dump truck was backing up near East 73rd Street and Second Avenue when it hit the women at about 6 p.m. according to police.
The woman was taken to New York Hospital in serious but stable condition. She had to have part of her right foot amputated, police said.
