Woman Gives Birth on Brooklyn Street After Going Into Labor on Subway: Reports

A pregnant woman gave birth on a Brooklyn sidewalk Sunday after going into labor on the subway, according to reports.

The woman gave birth to a baby boy outside the Clark Street station in Brooklyn Heights, the Daily News reports.

Witnesses told the News that emergency responders found her sprawled on a piece of cardboard outside the station around 5:30 p.m. after she went into labor on the train.

“She was crying ‘Come here, my baby's coming,’” Iqbal Shahid, 55, told the News.

An EMT delivered the baby, and he and his mother were taken to Brooklyn Hospital in good health, according to the New York Post.
