A woman was fatally stabbed inside her apartment in the Bronx on Friday, police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call at 620 Baychester Ave. in the Baychester neighborhood shortly before 3 p.m., authorities said. Upon arrival, they discovered 44-year-old Sophia Lamb unconscious and unresponsive in her living room with stab wounds to her body.
Emergency medical services pronounced her dead at the scene, police said.
Andre Curtis is considered to be a suspect in connection with the incident. The 36-year-old is wanted for questioning by the NYPD, and lives in the same building as the victim.
The investigation is ongoing.
