A 38-year-old Bronx woman was found dead in her bed, with bruising to her neck, by her own daughter, authorities say.
Police responding to a 911 call at the basement apartment on Carpenter Avenue in Wakefield shortly after 10 a.m. Sunday found Chanel Ricart unconscious in her bedroom. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cops say her daughter found her there, face up. The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how she died.
The investigation is ongoing.
