Woman Dies in Fiery Crash in Queens: NYPD

A passenger in a car was killed early Saturday morning when the vehicle crashed and burned after hitting a guardrail in Queens.

A 27-year-old man was driving south on Laurelton Parkway at about 4:20 a.m. when his car hit a guardrail, police said. The car became airborne, hit a tree stump and caught fire.

A woman passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Police haven't released her name.

The driver, whose name also wasn't disclosed by police, was treated for injuries at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
