A 24-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly murdering a 59-year-old woman who was found unconscious when police responded to a call about a disturbance at a Long Island home Tuesday night.
The woman, identified as Taracker McClendon, was pronounced dead shortly after officers arrived at the Harvard Street home in Hempstead. The nature of the disturbance call that prompted the emergency response wasn't immediately clear.
Kevin Pratt, of Hempstead, was taken into custody Wednesday. He is expected to be arraigned Thursday; it wasn't clear if he had retained an attorney.
