Police say they've arrested a woman who allegedly threw a white toy poodle-like dog from her car on a Long Island highway last month.
Josephine Rivera of Mastic was arrested Monday, Suffolk police said. She's accused of throwing her toy poodle dog from her car at a gas station on Montauk Highway, then driving off as the dog frantically ran around the car and tried to get back.
A witness said she had four young children in the back seat of her car and an older child in the front passenger seat.
Attorney information for Rivera wasn't immediately clear.
