Police have arrested a woman suspected of striking another woman over the head with a tire iron in the Bronx last month.
Gloribel Serrano, 27, turned herself in Wednesday and was charged with felony assault, police said.
Authorities say Serrano attacked the 35-year-old victim near East Bedford Park and Marion Avenue in Bedford Park at about 2:30 a.m. on May 12. Serrano allegedly approached the victim and struck her in the head with the tire iron.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and released. It was not clear what sparked the attack.
