Mets' Wilmer Flores Changes Walk-Up Music to ‘Friends' Theme Song

Sunday night's Mets game might forever be remembered as "The One Where Wilmer Flores Walked Up to the Plate to the 'Friends' Theme Song."

The Mets infielder got cheers and claps as he changed his walk-up music to "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandts.

Flores told Newsday that he watched the show after emigrating from Venezuela to Savannah, Georgia, to play for the Mets' Class A affiliate. He said it turned into one of his favorite shows and has seen every episode from the show's 10-year run.

"I watch it every day before I go to sleep," he told Newsday. "It's on Netflix. It's on Nick at Nite every night."

The crowd at Sunday night's game at Citi Field took to the new walk-up music. Several fans posted videos to social media showing fans clapping in unison to the song as Flores made his way to the plate.

Flores isn't the only Met with a unique walk-up song -- Yoenis Cespedes' approaches home plate for every at-bat to "Circle of Life" from "The Lion King."
