When Tailgating Goes Wrong: Cars Set on Fire by Hot Coals at MetLife Stadium: Police

    A word of warning to tailgaters and drivers. 

    Several cars were set on fire Sunday afternoon at the MetLife Stadium parking lot when they parked over hot coals, New Jersey State Police said. 

    Two separate fires started because of coals, police said. The Meadowlands Fire Department said six cars were ablaze. 

    No one was in the vehicles at the time, police said. No one was injured.
