Westchester County Offers Free Back-to-School Vaccines to Children Without Insurance

The Westchester County health department is offering free back-to-school shots to students who are uninsured or whose insurance doesn’t cover vaccines.

Children can schedule an appointment any Friday in August and September at health department clinics in White Plains and Yonkers.

The department will also offer guidance on-site for signing children up for the proper health insurance and finding primary pediatric care.

Appointments will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis through Sept. 25.

To make an appointment at the Yonkers clinic at 20 South Broadway, call 914-231-2500. Appointments in Yonkers are available for the following days:

  • Friday, Aug. 28, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 11, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 25, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

  • Friday, Aug. 21, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
