3 Shot as Gunfire Breaks Out at Queens Wendy's in Suspected Gang Dispute

The three victims were all expected to be OK.

Three young men, including a teenager, were shot as gunfire broke out Thursday afternoon at a Wendy's in Queens.

A 17-year-old was shot in the rear end, a 20-year-old was shot in the right calf and another 20-year-old was shot in the right arm outside the Wendy's at 89th Avenue and 139th Street in Jamaica, police said.

All of them were expected to be OK.

The suspected shooter fled down Queens Boulevard in a tan Toyota, officials said.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said the shooting was believed to be a gang dispute. The three young men shot were all members of the same gang, he said.

A witness to the shooting described what he saw:

"A kid came out, shot at three of the kids and jumped back into his car, and spinned off," said the witness.
