Wet Saturday, Wintry Mix North and West of NYC

A coastal storm moved into the area Saturday, bringing freezing rain in some spots and leaving roads slick.

Most of the area saw steady rain through the evening, with the heaviest rain falling in the afternoon.

Temperatures north and west of New York City will likely dip below freezing again Saturday night, bringing the possibility of another light wintry mix.

A winter weather advisory will be in effect for Fairfield, northern Westchester, northern Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, northern Bergen and Passaic counties tonight into Sunday morning.

Expect the wet weather to wind down by Sunday morning and conditions to be mostly dry throughout the day.
