Weapons Stash, 225 Lbs of Gunpowder Found in Queens Apartment: NYPD

A Queens man faces criminal charges after investigators found a cache of weapons, thousands of bullets and more than 200 pounds of gunpowder in his one-bedroom apartment.

Guo Shou, 33, was arrested Tuesday night on reckless endangerment and weapons possession charges after investigators raided his apartment in the Rego Park neighborhood.

Police seized 15 handguns, two shotguns, more than 45,000 rounds of ammunition and 225 pounds of smokeless gunpowder, authorities said. Shou also had parts of assault rifles and bulletproof vests.

Shou had a license for all but one of the guns, investigators said.

Prosecutors said Shou was arrested for allegedly "recklessly creating a threat to public safety" by stockpiling the weapons and ammunition.

Shou's attorney did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
