More than 450 volunteers showed up at the Intrepid today, to show their appreciation for the brave men and women
serving overseas. One of them, Miss USA Kristen Dalton.
The volunteers tried to send a little bit of home towards the troops, by putting together care packages.
The bags are going to be sent to troops from the tri-state serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Joining Miss USA were volunteers from the USO, Coca-Cola and Texas Roadhouse.
All their hard work paid off. When all was said and done, the group put together 10,000 packages.
