3 Men Violently Attack, Rob at Least 8 in the Bronx in 1 Month: NYPD

Police are looking for three men suspected of violently attacking and robbing at least eight people in the Bronx since June, including five within a span of about an hour.

The men allegedly approached their victims on the street and punched and kicked them, throwing some on the ground, before stealing cash, credit cards, cellphones, wallets and, in one case, a 32-inch television in the Fordham Heights and Belmont sections of the Bronx, the NYPD said.

The victims range in age from 19 to 61.

Police say the men are wanted in the following attacks:

  • On Tuesday, June 16 at around 3:40 a.m., the suspects approached a 29-year-old man as he was walking near Hughes Avenue and East 188th Street and punched him and kicked him. The suspects stole the victim's iPhone and fled. The victim sustained a cut to his forehead and a minor injury to his lip.
  • On Friday, July 3, at around 4:40 a.m., two suspects approached a 42-year-old man near Arthur Avenue and East 188th Street and demanded his property. The suspects then pushed the victim to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked, him causing lacerations to the eye and arm, and bruising to the face and head. The suspects stole the victim's iPhone and bag containing a debit card and credit card as well as identification cards.
  • On Thursday, July 9, at about 4 a.m., the suspects approached a 34-year-old man as he was walking near Crotona Avenue and Southern Boulevard and punched and kicked him. The suspects stole a a 32-inch TV from his hands as well as $66 in cash and an iPhone 5.
  • On Thursday, July 16, at about 3 a.m., the suspects approached a 19-year-old man on Third Avenue and punched him the face, causing severe swelling and bruising and fracturing his jaw. The suspects stole the victim's Samsung Galaxy cellphone and a video game. The suspects kicked the suspect as well before fleeing. The victim was treated at a hospital. 
  • On Thursday, July 16, at about 3:20 a.m., the suspects approached three men near Arthur Avenue and East 183rd Street and punched and kicked them. The suspects stole a wallet and debit card from one victim and an Android phone and wallet containing $300 cash from another victim. Nothing was taken from the third victim.
  • On Thursday, July 16, at about 3:40 a.m., the suspects approached a 61-year-old man near Valentine Avenue and East 188th Street and struck him in the head. The suspects stole  his Samsung cellphone and fled.
  • On Thursday, July 16, around 4 a.m., the suspects approached a 33-year-old man near Lorillard Place and East 189th Street and threw him to the ground. The suspects stole $60 in cash and punched and kicked the victim, causing swelling to his face and lacerations to both elbows. The victim was treated at an area hospital for his injuries.
  • Around the same time as the prior attack, the suspects approached a 24-year-old man on Marlon Avenue. One of the suspects grabbed the victim by the throat and the others threw him to the ground. The suspects kicked and punched the victim, then stole his wallet and iPhone. The victim had a scratched knee, scratches to his neck and swelling to his head.
