A new report by Mayor Bill de Blasio's administration is saying that violence in New York City jails has increased.
City Hall released the preliminary Mayor's Management Report on Tuesday. It tracks key statistics from city agencies.
The report says the jails had 34.5 incidents of violence per month for every 1,000 prisoners from July to October 2014, the first four months of the current fiscal year.
That's up from 30.9 during the same period the year before.
Response time to fires was slightly up, while NYPD response time was slightly down.
The number of people in homeless shelters increased.
And 92 percent of kids in public schools had all their required immunizations, down from 96.3 percent.

Officials said 57 percent of measures in the report were improved or stable.
