A 39-year-old Marine veteran was seriously injured when he fell off a float during New York City's Veterans Day parade, authorities said.
The marine was riding on a Lima Company truck when he tumbled at Fifth Avenue and West 27th Street, according to officials.
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital but is expected to survive his injuries.
It's not clear what caused the fall.
