Vandals Break Into New Jersey Church, Steal Money Intended for the Poor

Police are searching for the vandals who committed an unholy crime at a church in New Jersey.

Police say the thieves broke into Saint Joseph's Church on Hooper Avenue in Toms River early Monday the church and entered the main area.

Several collection boxes that contained cash donations for the poor were found broken open.

A wooden memorial candle stand was also broken apart. The vandals caused several thousand dollars in damage.

The amount of money stolen was not immediately known.

The theft was several hours after Pope Francis’ Mass from Philadelphia was shown to parishioners during a special service at the church.
