Six bystanders have been hurt by a scaffold that fell from a Harlem building after a van crashed into it, officials say.
New York City fire officials say the van plowed into the five-story building at about 11:20 a.m., sending the scaffold down on people walking by.
Fire officials say all six were hospitalized, with at least one victim seriously hurt.
Police didn't file any charges against the van's driver.
Last month the city Department of Buildings said the scaffold didn't meet safety standards and issued a violation to the site.
