Cops Seek 3 Men Seen Outside Store Where Owner Was Found Bludgeoned to Death: NYPD

An Upper West side store employee was found beaten to death inside the store Thursday, and police are searching for a suspect.

The victim, identified as 26-year-old Bubacarr Camera from The Gambia, was found bludgeoned inside the BNC General Merchandise t-shirt store on Amsterdam Avenue near 105th Street. He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Investigators gathered fingerprints and other clues Thursday in what sources said appears to have been a robbery that turned into a homicide.

A friend at the scene said the victim was a "good guy, he don't have problems with anyone out here."

Camera lived with his family in the Bronx, and they all worked at the store, neighbors said.

"He was a very nice gentleman. Anytime you needed something, if you were fromt one of the four shelters around and you came up short, he would always give it to you," said Jenniger Berry.

People laid flowers and messages for Camera at the store Friday.

Police have released surveillance photos of three men last spotted outside the store and say they want to talk to them.
